I’m afraid I can no longer use the phrase birthday girl… I have been using it all week as a hashtag #birthdaygirl but now I realize it should be different now that I am a mom
Before this year, birthdays meant the world to me. I have always considered it special as it is the ONE day that I get to be as wild and Queen B as I want to be but honestly I am like that every day 😉 😉 My birthday is just a better excuse to be completely outrageous if I want to.
It’s the nothing 26, you know there’s the 16 then 21 then 25 so I call this year the NOTHING 26, the next few birthdays will be bland I guess as we wait to get to the BIG 30.
I had a pretty important meeting the morning of my birthday then I had some breakfast with le hubby and Beck then totally crashed once I got home. The exhaustion from our trip home from Watamu then staying up at night with Beck finally caught up with me. Later that evening, I opened some gifts from the boys then FaceTimed with my family in Jozi then it was time for the festivities. We went for dinner at Villa Rosa Kempinski, it was my first time. Then for the 2nd year in a row, I enjoyed my birthday night with my birthday mate Alisha Popat. She threw an amazing party and the theme was Gentlemen vs Gypsies
So cheers to my first birthday as a mom, hashtag #birthdaymom 😉
