CASHMERE WEEKEND: STAYCATION IN KAREN

Last weekend before Jason flew out for work in Rwanda. We all know he is an amazing Producer and Storyteller and he also works as a cultural envoy for the US Embassy. We decided to have family day as it was going to be a long time before we were all together for the holidays. We are fans of the new southern bypass so we used that to cut through town to Karen. It was such a beautiful sunny Nairobi afternoon.

We went to my favorite store Kung’ara in Karen, where I got my recently favorite neckpiece then we enjoyed some chill time and had some wine at The Tin Roof Cafe that’s in a compound called The Souk with different cute shops. I also loved shopping at The Silk Road store.

PS:

Staycation:

  1. a vacation spent in one’s home country rather than abroad, or one spent at home and involving day trips to local attractions.
