Last week Thursday before we left for a brief holiday to Watamu, both my families sat down for dinner at our place. It was a beautiful night filled with lots of stories, catching up and laughter. It was also the first time Beck’s older brothers met my dad so that was an interesting mix for Christmas dinner conversations.

I got this amazing recipe on taste.com.au and so we served

Starter: A platter of smoked salmon, blue cheese and prosciutto

Main: Roast Chicken with Pistachio and Cranberry Stuffing

Side Dish: Garlicky green beans and fried tofu

Dessert: Ice Cream Cake from Coldstone Gigiri
